Ideas &
Planning
The aims of the workshops were to provide a unique experience for
children from local Bradford inner city schools. We aimed to provide
the opportunity for them to work with high quality technology resources,
suspecting they might be capable of producing some exciting and
entertaining work.
We would ensure that after the introductory session they would
have the time and freedom to explore and try out their own ideas.
To realise those aims we assembled a team of experienced workshop
leaders who could offer focused support and tuition.
The working environment would be a friendly informal and supportive
workshop - and most of all fun!
Our expectations were exceeded!
Planning for the project began in earnest during May by deciding
on the ethos of the workshops and then creating an outline
of the format.
The planning and preparation had to tie together the social, educational
and technological strands as indicated on the diagram opposite.
