Background
During the hottest weeks of summer 2003, 3 digital
video filmmaking workshops were held at Challenge College CLC, Bradford.
The event proved to be a resounding success. Over
each of the three (4 day sessions) more than 30 children aged between
8 to 14 from local schools learned to:
Use DV equipment including cameras, microphones and
tripods.
Understand and use the language of film.
All about, planning, scripting and writing storyboards
Good filming techniques.
Editing their films.
Post production techniques including music, sound,
titles and special effects.
Working in teams to meet tight deadlines.
The magic of the 'Oscars evening ' screening for
parents and relatives. |
